A man from China tried to smuggle 84 Kingston internal solid state drives through the cross-border industrial zone between Zhuahai and Macau when he was detained by Qingmao Customs after pushing an electric scooter through the inspection machine. The X-ray showed that there was a mysterious object concealed within the front bumper of the scooter.

After removing the Yadea KS scooter’s bumper, the agents found dozens of Kingston SSDs taped together in the axle tube and seized the items for further inspection. These were all professionally wrapped and possibly headed to the black market for sale, thwarting taxes that a person would normally have to pay when bringing such items through the cross-border industrial zone.
