Sonic the Hedgehog 2 is the official sequel toe Sonic the Hedgehog, which was released in 2020, and there a few new characters in tow, Knuckles included. This installment follows the journey of Sonic the Hedgehog and Tails Miles Prower as they try to prevent Doctor Eggman as well as Knuckles the Echidna from finding the Master Emerald. Any aspiring filmmaker wondering who completed the visual effects and animation for Sonic the Hedgehog 2, look no further than the Moving Picture Company, the same one that worked on the first film. The principal photography mainly took place in Vancouver, Canada and wrapped in Hawaii on June 25, 2021.
