This might be the most valuable non-Tesla, PayPal or SpaceX Elon Musk item yet. More specifically, two pieces of coursework annotated and initialed by Elon Musk as a teaching assistant in an entrepreneurship class (MGMT 231) taught by Myles Bass at the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School in 1995 has just sold for $7,753 USD. One of them is a written exam booklet with nine pages filled out and graded by Musk on the front cover in red ink, “73, EM.”
Accompanying this written exam is a five-page case study on the topic of Ruth Owades’ mail-order specialty gardening tool idea, which has also been graded and initialed on the first page in red ink by Musk, “8 1/2, EM.” The future Tesla CEO checked off all of the critical points made throughout the paper, without adding any comments. Most importantly, both of these pieces come with full letters of authenticity from PSA/DNA, one of the leaders in sports memorabilia authentication.
