If you thought the gigantic 43″ Sony PVM-4300 CRT TV was something special, Linus has just the weekend project that combines modern screen with the latest gaming machines. Put simply, his team managed to turn an old Sony projection TV into an all-in-one OLED sleeper gaming machine that can play all of the AAA titles currently out.
This 55″ Sony SXRD projection TV has lots of hardware in the back that Linux had to remove to make room for a Nintendo Switch, PS5, Wii, and a PC. Once disassembly was complete, they had to plan the layout, which included a new set of speakers. The Nintendo Wii sits right between the speakers, while the PC is located above them, right alongside a subwoofer. Last, but not least, a Sony OLED panel was mounted where the old Fresnel lens used to be.
