Sony Reon Pocket Air Conditioner Japan
Sony’s Reon Pocket may not be the first portable air conditioner, but it’s most certainly the latest. This device is designed to fit inside your shirt to keeps your body cool (or warm) and one model can be controlled using a smartphone app via Bluetooth. Unfortunately, it doesn’t work with just any shirt, so that’s why the company has also created a specially modified shirt with an inner pocket at the back of the neck. With the smartphone app, users can adjust the temperature settings as desired, even upping the warmth inside your shirt so you feel toasty in the winter. Battery life? Once charged with USB-C, it can hold a charge for 24-hours, but actual usage is around 2-hours. It’s only available in Japan on Sony’s First Flight crowdfunding platform for around $130, which includes the Reon Pocket and a single modified shirt to use it in.
