Why throw out a broken 1984 Sony Watchman, when you can turn it into a functional Game Boy Color? The latter is exactly what Masaki Crafts did, complete with a cartridge slot, HDMI TV out, a headphone jack, and even a link cable port.
There’s also an SNES controller port should you be using the HDMI TV output, but keep in mind that the Game Boy Color only uses four of the six buttons. For those unfamiliar with the Sony Watchman, a model (FDL-310) with a color LCD was not introduced until 1990, while the FDL-22, released in 1998, featured an ergonomic body, making it much more comfortable to hold.
