South Korea Drones Coronavirus
It’s not everyday that you see drones putting on a light show, much less one reminding you to wear face masks, wash your hands and socially distance. That’s what happened in Seoul, South Korea, this past weekend. Around 300 drones were used to showcase motivational and awareness messages during this coronavirus pandemic. These unmanned aerial vehicles were programmed to form images above the Han river and included messages that reminded people of key precautionary measures, including wearing masks, washing hands and keeping a two-meter (6-foot) distance from others. In the end, they formed to display “THANKS TO YOU,” next to a heart shape before creating a silhouette of the Korean peninsula with the message: “Cheer up, Republic of Korea.”
