Star Fox Name Change Starwing
Did you know that Star Fox on the SNES was renamed Starwing in PAL region territories (Europe, Thailand, Australia, etc.)? That’s right, it was renamed due to potential issues with the German company StarVox. On a related note, Star Fox 64 was renamed Lylat Wars in these PAL region territories four years later.

What most gamers aren’t aware of is the fact that there was an even earlier Starfox game for the Commodore 64 in 1987. When it finally made its way to the US, that game had become The Rubicon Alliance. Scott the Woz covers this name change in his latest video, along with a few other video game naming oddities, including ‘4 Resident Evil’ and ‘Resident Evil 4’ on the PS4.
