Set to be released on August 31, Netflix’s One Piece live-action series will follow Monkey D. Luffy (Iñaki Godoy), a teenager who acquires the properties of rubber, as he conquers the sea. He recruits a tattered crew of misfits to join him onboard, including Roronoa Zoro (Mackenyu), Nami (Emily Rudd), Usopp (Jacob Romero), and Sanji (Taz Skylar).

Another day, another Elden Ring mod, and this one lets you play as Goku from Dragon Ball Z. You start out in his base form and then can transform into his Super Saiyan Blue mode as progress is made in the game. For those who don’t follow the series, Super Saiyan Blue is a transcendence of the Super Saiyan God form by absorbing the powers of a god or through vigorous ki control training with a deity with godly ki.

The Simpsons Death Tome Anime Treehouse of Horror
The Simpspons ‘Treehouse of Horror XXXIII’ is set to air this Sunday on FOX and unlike previous years, this one includes ‘Death Tome’, an anime-inspired Death Note parody. This anime series follows a boy named Light Yagami, who is being played by Lisa in this episode, that stumbles upon a supernatural book capable of killing anyone whose name is written in its pages.

Netflix Cowboy Bebop Opening Credits
Finally, Netflix has announced a release date for its long awaited live-action Cowboy Bebop series, and it’s November 19, 2021. Developed by André Nemec and written by Christopher Yost, the series stars John Cho (Spike Spiegel), Mustafa Shakir, Daniella Pineda (Faye Valentine), Elena Satine (Julia), and Alex Hassell (Vicious). This reboot was actually teased back in 2017 before being picked up by Netflix a year later, so the 10-episode series could be expanded further, depending on its reception. Star Wars Visions Anime Disney Plus
Revealed at Anime Expo Lite this past weekend, the “Star Wars: Visions” anthology is set to be released on September 22nd for Disney+ subscribers. Seven of the top Japanese anime studios collaborated with Lucasfilm for the short films, each expressing their own rendering of “Star Wars” universe with unique animation and storytelling styles. From the very first film, stories told in Star Wars galaxy have counted Japanese mythology and the films of Akira Kurosawa among their many influences.
