Tesla Optimus Humanoid Robot Yoga
Tesla’s Optimus humanoid robot can now perform yoga and sort objects autonomously, but still has a ways to go before attempting Zoidberg’s scuttle dance like Boston Dynamics’ Atlas. One thing is for sure, Elon Musk is ramping up hiring specifically for the Tesla Bot division, as the company posted several jobs this past week.

These jobs include a software engineer, mechatronics engineer, quality assurance tester, release manager, engineering technician, reliability engineer, data collection operators, motion planning & navigation, lab technician for dyno measurements, and more. Elon Musk stated during AI Day 2022 that he plans to deliver the first Optimus robots between 2025 – 2027. The current prototype stands 5 ft 8 in (73 m) tall and weighs approximately 125 lb (57 kg). It should be controlled by the same AI system Tesla is developing for the advanced driver-assistance system used in its vehicles.
