Tevel Aerobotics Apple Drone
H/t: Gizmodo
No, this isn’t a drone from iPhone maker Apple, but rather one from Tevel Aerobotics Technologies Ltd. Supply chain issues and labor shortages have been plaguing farmers worldwide, but this drone aims to help alleviate some of them. How does it work? There’s a large central machine that deploys multiple autonomous drones equipped with robotic arms of sorts, and as the former rolls through an apple orchid, the fruit is harvested by the flying machines.

All of the drones are equipped with various sensors and cameras to ensure they are capable of avoiding obstacles, whether they be branches or other flying machines. They use QR codes to determine where to drop the fruit, enabling the central machine to collect the entire harvest in a single container.
