CryZENx’s Unreal Engine 4 remake of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time has been released, and you can download it now. If Nintendo released the game today, this is what it would probably look like, complete with ultra detailed enemies / items, improved lighting, which adds to the depth of Link’s character model, and extremely smooth gameplay. Sure, there are some rough edges, animation wise, but for those craving a 3DS / Switch remake, enjoy it while you can. Read more for a 24-minute gameplay video and the download links.
Since Nintendo is very protective of its intellectual properties, this fan project may get shut down even before the final version is released. However, CryZENx is currently also working on an Unreal Engine 4-based Super Mario 64 remake that adds a few favorite characters, like Bowsette. Download it (mirror) here.
“CryZENx is still working on bug improvements but has implemented a better targeting system than the one featured in previous versions. The game’s story also still needs plenty of work, but the user is hoping to chip away at it through 2019,” reports Game Rant.
