The Q Hoverboard Winter Modification Saw Blades
Let’s face it, hoverboards, or those two-wheeled electric mobility scooters, aren’t designed to travel on ice, but with some heavy modifications, anything is possible. An inventor who goes by “The Q” on YouTube replaced the wheels on a hoverboard with custom saw blades. More specifically, the teeth on the saw blades each have a small piece of metal welded onto them for extra traction when riding on ice.

There really isn’t much else to it, other than a hoverboard that can safely travel on ice without slipping. On a related note, did you know that Shane Chen, an American businessman and founder of Inventist, actually filed a patent for this type of device back in February 2013? That’s right, a Kickstarter fund-raising campaign was launched shortly after in May 2013.
