So you’ve probably seen Rabbit Island by now, but here’s a new place for animal lovers to add to their bucket list: Zao Fox Village. Located in Japan’s Miyagi prefecture, six different species of fox roam free, and for 100 yen, you’re able to personally feed them. As you wander around the village, you’ll also see small little structures / houses for the foxes, along with a shrine with statues and a torii (traditional Japanese gate) too. In Japanese culture, foxes are believed to be messengers of Inari Okami, the Shinto deity of fertility, prosperity and rice.
