Pizza Hut Hong Kong wanted a unique way to promote their ‘double pizza’ promotion, so they hired Ogilvy & Mather to create a special box that doubles as a functional projector. To use, simply remove the pizzas, punch out the projection hole, turn up the screen brightness and place your phone on the included stand before closing the box. The very first Pizza Hut was opened in 1958 when brothers Frank and Dan Carney, then students at Wichita State University in Kansas, borrowed $600 from their mother. The store was located in downtown Wichita, which was eventually moved to the university’s campus. They eventually branched out and became one of the largest chain pizza restaurants in the world. What you may not know is that the very first store is still open and operational.
