Cruise ships guests stuck in interior staterooms can peer outside through a virtual window, and engineer Drew Forbes wanted to bring that same experience to his basement studio. This required three 75-inch 4K TVs connected to each other to display a massive 12-foot image that can be used to show just about anything you want.
For a more seamless and authentic viewing experience, all of the TVs are framed into the wall. This means they can be used to show the streets of Paris, Times Square, or even the Earth from above. Future plans are to use it as a movie theater of sorts, play video games and even have a live video feed of Drew’s backyard that shows exactly what is going on 24/7.
