Tianducheng in the suburbs of Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province, China may be a housing estate, but it’s eerily similar to Paris France. Construction began around 2007, and its main attraction is a 354-foot Eiffel Tower replica (top image) 12-square-miles of Parisian-style architecture, fountains and landscaping. It opened in 2007, and can accommodate more than 10,000 residents. It was originally planned as a city for 10,000 inhabitants, but the current population is an estimated 2,000 people, many of whom are working on a nearby French-themed amusement park.
