Titanosaur, the world’s largest known dinosaur, goes on display at London’s Natural History Museum in a fun interactive exhibition. Guests will be able to touch, feel and walk beneath the 2.67-ton cast of this 122-foot-long beast, all the while learning how it could have survived as well as thrived on Earth.

Patagotitan mayorum was basically a giant herbivore that weighed in at around 70 tons and lived in the forests of today’s Patagonia about 95-100 million years ago, during the Late Cretaceous period. The remains currently on display were excavated in the Patagonian desert region of Argentina by a team from the Museo Paleontologico Egidio Feruglio led by José Luis Carballido and Diego Pol. For those in London, the exhibition opens on March 31 and runs through January 7, 2024, with tickets priced from $19.70 USD for adults.

Titanosaur Largest Dinosaur Patagotitan Mayorum London Natural History Museum

Patagotitan mayorum is an incredible specimen that tells us more about giant titanosaurs than ever before. Comparable in weight to more than nine African elephants, this star specimen will inspire visitors to care for some of the planet’s largest and most vulnerable creatures, which face similar challenges for survival, and show that within Earth’s ecosystems, size really does matter,” said Prof. Paul Barrett, science lead on the exhibition.
