Toyota GR Yaris
It’s been quite a while since Toyota has produced a vehicle for the rally scene, but regulations imposed on manufacturers require them to produce a certain number of road cars that are similar to the racing versions each year in order to homologate them for the track. You’ve probably heard of the Celica GT-Four, and now there’s this all-wheel-drive GR Yaris. Read more for two videos and additional information.

On the outside, you won’t be mistaking this for a standard model, as it boasts larger 18-inch wheels, extended wheel arches, squared air intake on the front fascia, and you can’t miss the specially designed braking system, complete with red-painted calipers. Power comes from a turbocharged four-cylinder engine, paired to a manual gearbox and an AWD system.

No other details have been released, but the vehicle is set to make its official debut on January 10 at the Tokyo Auto Salon 2020.
