2020 Toyota Yaris GR Rallying
Weighing just 2,822-pounds, the 2020 Toyota GR Yaris is a street-legal hot hatch built for rallying, born from the automaker’s title-winning experience in the World Rally Championship (WRC). Power comes from a turbocharged 1.6-liter engine producing 257 hp and 266 lb-ft of torque, transferred to all wheels via a six-speed manual transmission. This means it can accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in under 5.5 seconds and tops out at an electronically limited 143 mph. Read more for the 2020 Tokyo Auto Salon reveal and additional information.

A 4WD dial switch enables drivers to select from Normal, Sport, and Track modes. Toyota will manufacture this special vehicle at its new Motomachi and the First Edition will be priced at around $36,100 USD, while a High-Performance First Edition, complete with BBS forged aluminum wheels and more performance parts, commands $41,600 USD.

One of Toyota Gazoo Racing’s commitments is to use motorsport to refine its knowhow and its personnel, with the aim of launching world-class production sports cars. While the new GR Supra is a sports car developed through track racing, the GR Yaris has been devised through our participation in rallies – something that many of our fans have been waiting for,” said Gazoo Racing President Shigeki Tomoyama.
