Tsubame Industries ARCHAX Robot Mech
Hacksmith’s spider mech robot is a one-off project that you can’t buy, while Tsubame Industries’ ARCHAX will set you back $2.73-million. Limited to just 5-units worldwide and priced at $2.73-million USD, this mech stands 14.7-feet-tall (4.5 meters) with a cockpit for a human pilot who can then transition from standing to driving mode at the push of a button.



Weighing 3.5-tons, this real-life mech has an iron and aluminum alloy shell covered in fiber-reinforced plastic (FRP) as well as 26 cameras used for navigation. The cockpit itself features two joysticks, three large monitors and various pedals. In standing mode, it can reach a top speed of 1.2 mph whereas when driving lets the robot move at up to 6.2 mph. Functional hands with articulating fingers lets the pilot pick up objects that weigh up to 33 pounds (15 kilograms).
