Unnecessary Inventions iPhone 16 Pro Max Case Digital Camera
Inventor Matty Benedetto of Unnecessary Inventions is back at it again, and this time, he decided to build an iPhone 16 Pro Max Case that doubles as a second (or third if you include the smartphone’s front-facing camera) digital camera.

This project required purchasing several Ultimaxx Essential Kids Digital Cameras, and then taking at least one of them apart to swap into a custom 3D-printed enclosure. What he ended up with was a multi-layer case that looks like a digital camera on the back, but a typical smartphone from the front.

We bought that camera for my daughter when she was 5 and she’s used the heck out of it over the last couple years, taking it on every trip and outing, as well as taking pictures and video around the house. It’s a legitimately terrible camera with no zoom, focus, or any other controls. But it’s a great camera for a small child, especially since, at that price point you don’t lose much if they break it, lose it, or lose interest,” said one commenter.
