Inventor Matty Benedetto of Unnecessary Inventions is back at it again, and this time, he decided to build an iPhone 16 Pro Max Case that doubles as a second (or third if you include the smartphone’s front-facing camera) digital camera.
This project required purchasing several Ultimaxx Essential Kids Digital Cameras, and then taking at least one of them apart to swap into a custom 3D-printed enclosure. What he ended up with was a multi-layer case that looks like a digital camera on the back, but a typical smartphone from the front.

We bought that camera for my daughter when she was 5 and she’s used the heck out of it over the last couple years, taking it on every trip and outing, as well as taking pictures and video around the house.
