Adding USB-C charging to an old Nokia 3310 is possible, just not very practical, since it involves opening up the handset. If that isn’t an issue, then you’ll be happy to know that the USB-C port has been integrated with a small plastic adapter that enables it to sit in place of the original phone’s charge port module, making the mod plug-and-play.
Spring loaded contacts ensure a connection between the port and the rest of the phone, while popping out the microphone from the original charge module and putting it in the new one is the only other step required for installation. Fortunately, all you need is a screw driver to disassemble the phone, replace the parts, and then reassemble everything.

First released on September 1, 2000, the Nokia 3310 features an 84 × 48 pixel pure monochrome display and best known for its Chat function, which is essentially an instant messaging-like feature that works on standard SMS. This handset was popular for SMS text messaging because of Chat and also because it allowed longer messages, or more specifically, three times (459 characters) the size of a standard SMS text message.
