Back on May 4th, also known as Star Wars Day, Disney teased a real-life lightsaber, complete with a retractable blade of light extending from the hilt. Today, they give us another glimpse at the energy sword in a new Walt Disney Imagineering Innovation Showcase video. Other creations include an animatronic Groot and an inside look at Web Slingers: A Spider-Man Adventure at Disney California Adventure Park.
Apparently, guests who stay at Disney’s new Galactic Starcruiser hotel will be able to see these lightsabers in person. Unfortunately, it will cost you at least $749 per person, per night. That’s right, Star Wars fans will soon be able to book the experience between Aug. 20, 2022, and Sept. 17, 2022 on the Chandrila Star Line, known as the Halcyon, at the cost of $4,809 for two guests sharing a cabin, or $1,209 per person, per night. However, if you four guests are willing to share a cabin (three adults, one child), it’ll cost a slightly more reasonable $5,999 or $749 per guest, per night.
