World View Stratospheric Balloon Edge of Space
Can’t afford a Blue Origin, Virgin Galactic or SpaceX trip, but have $50,000 USD to spare? World View has just the space tourism trip for you. The company announced the global launch of its edge-of-space experience, which aims to bring as many people as possible to the edge of space so that at 100,000 feet in a luxurious stratospheric balloon. They are now accepting $500 deposits to reserve a place in line for their commercial flights.



The $50,000 is good for a Seven Wonders of the World, Stratospheric Edition trip, with spaceport locations in the Grand Canyon (United States), Great Barrier Reef (Queensland, Australia), Serengeti (Kenya), Aurora Borealis (Norway), Amazonia (Brazil), Giza Pyramids (Egypt) and the Great Wall of China (Mongolia). These journeys are built around a 5-day fully immersive experience, with travelers being offered excursions from the various spaceports. The eight participants and two World View crew members will travel in a zero-pressure stratospheric balloon and pressurized space capsule to 100,000 feet altitude for an experience that will last roughly between 6-12 hours. First flights are set to begin in early 2024, after the non-profit Space For Humanity completes its inaugural journey.
