Honda / Acura was known for their special edition race cars in the late 1990s and early 2000s, with the NSX Alex Zanardi Edition being one of them. First introduced in 1999 to commemorate Alex Zanardi’s two back-to-back CART IndyCar championship wins for Honda in 1997 and 1998. it was limited to only 51 examples and available exclusively in Formula Red to reflect the color of the winning car Zanardi drove for Chip Ganassi Racing.
Power comes from a 3.2L quad-cam VTEC V5 engine producing 290 horsepower and 224 lb-ft of torque, mated to a six-speed manual transmission equipped with a factory limited-slip differential. Inside, the onyx interior features microsuede inserts on the power-adjustable seats, along with contrasting red stitching and black carpeting. It retains the factory cassette stereo in the center stack, has air conditioning, power windows / door locks, a titanium shift knob, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. More information here.
