The 2019 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 is already touted as the most powerful factory-built road car from General Motors, ever, delivering 755 horsepower and 715lb-ft of torque, but Hennessey Performance has released a tuning packages that takes things to a whole new level. To be more specific, their HPE1200 package replaces the factory 6.2L engine block with a 7.0L unit, complete with aluminum pistons, forged steel connecting rods, a forged stroker crank, custom camshaft, ported LT5 cylinder heads, long tube headers, a full high performance exhaust system with catalytic convertors and HPE’s “high flow supercharger system”. All of these upgrades boost power output to 1,200 horsepower and 1,066lb-ft of torque at the crankshaft, good for a 0-60 mph time of just 2.2 seconds. As you can see the video above, this particular model pumps out 1,139 horsepower at the rear wheels and 994 pound-feet (1,348 Nm) of torque, running on E85 gasoline at 24 psi boost pressure.
