You’ve seen three-generations of Skylines race each other, now watch the 2023 Corvette Z06 take on a Nissan GT-R NISMO and a 1000hp R34 GT-R in a drag racing showdown. The C8 Corvette Z06 is powered by a naturally aspirated 5.5L LT6 V8 engine making 670 hp and 465 lb-ft of torque, mated to an 8-speed dual-clutch transmission.
Now the Nissan GT-R NISMO is now slouch with its twin-turbocharged 3.8L V6 engine generating 600 hp and 481 lb-ft of torque, while the modified R34 GT-R puts the other two vehicles to shame, or at least power wise. We’re looking at a twin-turbocharged 3.0L inline-6 engine that makes at least 1,000hp, although not all of it could be used in the drag race due to traction reasons.
