2023 Ford F-150 Raptor R
The all-new 2023 Ford F-150 Raptor R is now the fastest, most powerful model in the series yet. Power comes from a supercharged 5.2L V8 engine making 700 hp and 640 lb.-ft. of torque, mated to a 10-speed SelectShift transmission. It’s the same engine as in the Shelby GT500, but with a recalibrated supercharger and a new pulley optimized for off-road use.

Not just designed to go fast, it’s designed to tackle just about any terrain, thanks to a new front axle with a higher-strength carrier casting, an aluminum-ribbed structural cover to manage the powertrain’s added torque, and a unique larger-diameter aluminum driveshaft. Oh, you also get massive 37-inch tires straight from the factory. Inside, you’ll find a 12-inch touch screen with SYNC 4 technology, Apple CarPlay / Android Auto compatibility, and Ford Power-Up over-the-air software update capability. Pricing has not yet been announced, but dealers can start taking pre-orders today, with production starting late 2022. If you need something a bit more compact, there’s this custom 1990 Mazda MX-5 Miata pickup truck.

We’ve heard our customers demanding the sound and power of a V8 back in Raptor. That’s not something we were going to rush. This supercharged 5.2-liter V8 is the ideal fusion of high-density power paired with the third generation Raptor’s all-new rear suspension and shocks to deliver a one-two punch that goes far beyond the sum of its parts,” said Carl Widmann, Ford Performance chief engineer.
