343 Industries announced today that the Halo Infinite co-op beta and mission replay features are now live for both Xbox as well as PC users. This beta allows up to four players to play through Halo Infinite’s campaign while obtaining collectibles together. Unfortunately, the beta ends on August 1 at 10am PT.
Most importantly, forward progress is saved for all players during co-op, and all collectibles obtained during the session is unlocked for everyone in the fireteam as well. It’s also compatible with the Mission Replay, which enables players to replay previously completed missions at any time mid-session, and you can have up to two in-progress missions saved at any one time. To join the beta, players need to download the latest test build via the Xbox Insider Program. We’re still waiting to ride in Parker Brothers Concepts real-life electric M12 Halo Warthog.
- Experience brighter worlds, vivid imagery, and sharper details with 4K gaming and up to 120 FPS that makes everything feel so real it’s unreal.
- Quick Resume: Seamlessly switch between your favorite games and pick up right where you left off.
- Backward compatibility: Play four generations of games, including games that are optimized for Xbox Series X|S to look and play better than ever.
When the Fireteam Leader starts a co-op campaign session, all players in the Fireteam will be prompted to select their save file. Using the selected save files, the Fireteam’s campaign progress is aggregated so that the session’s progress reflects content that all members have completed. This allows all progress made in co-op sessions to be applied to each player’s individual save file,” said 343 Industries.
