Japan-based company Sweet Mommy unveils ‘Cool Dog’, a small wearable fan to keep your pet cool in the summer or just anytime when things get warm. Rei Uzawa, president of Sweet Mommy, says she was inspired to build the device after seeing her pet chihuahua acting exhausted after their summer walks.
Powered by two AAA batteries, the small device can be used for up to three months if used on twice daily, 10-minute walks. It basically is affixed to a special mesh vest and once turned on, the fan circulates the air around them. Available now in a variety of sizes, priced at around $74 USD. The Sony Reon is a human version of this fan that can be slid right inside a shirt pocket.
