Aside from Apple devices, Foxconn also makes tractors and then the Pininfarina-designed Foxtron Model B electric vehicle, which is set to take on the Tesla Model Y in China. Not much information has been revealed about the EV as the company is set to officially introduce the Model B later this month on Hon Hai Tech Day 2022.
The company is set to manufacture the Foxtron Model B in Ohio at the factory it purchased from Lordstown GM by 2024. Foxconn’s Model B will be based on their modular EV platform, making repairs quick and easy. Unlike the Tesla Model Y and other EVs, including the Porsche Taycan, this one is designed by Pininfarina, an Italian car design firm best known for their work with Ferrari, including the 365GTB/4 Daytona (1968), 308GTB (1975), 456 GT (1992), and 550 Maranello (1996).
