Self-Firing NERF Dart
You won’t need this NERF Gjallarhorn Rocket Launcher from Destiny 2 to use this self-firing NERF dart, just some ingenuity. There are several ways to build your own self-firing NERF dart, but the methods that Joel Hartlaub of Joel Creates tried include spring-loaded mechanisms, compressed air, gasoline and even a spark lighter.

A combination of spring-loaded mechanisms and compressed air made for a decent self-firing dart, but its range left a lot to be desired. That’s why Hartlaub decided to add a capacitor and heating element to use as an igniter. At the push of a button, flash cotton located deep in the dart is ignited, thus generating expanding air to fire it through the air. The best shot had it flying 44-feet, which is still shy of a standard NERF blaster’s 50-foot range.
