Ford Performance reveals their Ford F-150 Lightning SuperTruck EV demonstrator ahead of its Pikes Peak International Hill Climb testing next week. Its massive wing helps contribute to the vehicle’s 6,000 lbs of downforce at 150 mph, crucial for its efforts at Pikes Peak.
The Ford F-150 Lightning SuperTruck EV demonstrator draws inspiration from the F-150 Lightning and was developed in partnership with Stohl Advanced Research and Development (STARD). Data collected from the Pikes Peak program will be used for software calibration and battery cell chemistry on Ford’s production vehicles as well as future race programs.
