Apple iOS 16 WWDC 2022
Apple iOS 16 was previewed at WWDC 2022 today and some of the new features include Lock Screen personalization, along with new sharing, communication, as well as intelligence functions that aim to change the way users experience iPhone. Plus, iOS 16 adds iCloud Shared Photo Library, which allows users to seamlessly share a collection of photos with family.

Unlike iOS 15, the latest version of the operating system has a Lock Screen boasting a multilayered effect, with subjects of photos creatively set in front of the time, giving a sense of depth. You are also now able to change the look of the date and time with expressive type styles as well as color choices. The Lock Screen can be customized with widgets, similar to Apple Watch complications, making it a breeze to get information at a glance, like weather, battery levels, alarms, time zones, etc. Another important feature is the ability to edit or recall recently sent messages, recover recently deleted messages, and mark conversations as unread so you’ll be able to review them later. SharePlay is coming soon to Messages, allowing you to enjoy synced content, such as movies or songs and shared playback controls, all while chatting in Messages. A public beta is set to be released to the public next month and you can sign up here. Now we just need acapella group MayTree to recreate some iconic iOS sounds.
