At first glance, the ARES Modena S1 Project appears to be just another supercar, but it’s actually based on the Chevrolet Corvette C8. Available in Speedster (24-units) and Spyder (24-units) models, this vehicle is powered by a mid-mounted naturally aspirated 6.2L V8 engine possibly making 490 hp and 465 lb-ft of torque, mated to a Tremec TR-9080 DCT 8-speed dual clutch transmission. A tuned exhaust system is expected to boost power numbers, but no official word on what they may be.
Step inside, and you’ll find ultra luxurious seats along with a high-tech infotainment system consisting of three different displays, with the one in front of the driver being able to communicate with the large central screen. Unlike the Corvette C8, both S1 Project models have bodywork made entirely of handmade carbon fiber, while its shape has been optimized through in-depth CFD analysis to ensure perfect engine cooling as well as balanced dynamic handling.

Since the presentation of the S1 Spyder, we saw that there was great interest in an open version of the S1 Project, but that many enthusiasts would prefer a design that combines the excitement of driving an open car with enhanced comfort: S1 Speedster was created to meet exactly this demand, while also introducing many improvements to the design that we will also see on the Coupé version of S1 Project.
