What started as a concept vehicle has transformed into the Aston Martin Valhalla production model that was revealed today. This sleek supercar features an electric motor at each axle and a rear-mid-mounted twin-turbocharged 4.0L V8 that generates a combined 937 hp and 738 lb-ft of torque, mated to an eight-speed dual clutch transmission mounted behind the cockpit. When driven purely in EV mode, the battery power is directed exclusively to the front axle.
Valhalla also uses its electrical power to enhance low speed control / response and provide reversing capability. When in EV-only mode, the vehicle can hit a maximum speed of 80mph (130km/h) and has a zero-emission range of 9.3-miles (15km). In other modes, the Valhalla achieves a top speed of 217mph (330km/h) and can sprint from 0-62mph in a mere 2.5 seconds. There’s no word yet on pricing or availability.
