Boston Dynamics’ Spot robot dog finds time to dance in a new “No Time to Dance” video, where it visits a factory to show off some of its new upgrades. This includes five stereo cameras capable of producing full-color imagery, a Samsung tablet controller, extended battery life, an NVIDIA Jetson Xavier NX system-on-chip for faster on-device AI processing and 5G compatibility, along with a new charging module.
The Spot Arm was also upgraded with an additional physical joystick attachment that comes equipped with two five-direction buttons and two bumper buttons. These additional controls ensure that operators have maximum manipulation capabilities while driving the robot and operating the arm. Plus, the newest battery modules are able to be powered to full capacity in an hour or less. It could possibly be trained to seek out hidden cameras in an AirBNB as well.
