Caviar is known for their luxurious smartphones, but the iPhone X Tesla is the company’s first with an integrated solar panel on the back. The panels feed into a dedicated battery, which then provides charge to the iPhone’s battery at the push of a power button. Despite looking like a case, the panels are attached directly to the handset, increasing the thickness from the original’s 7.7mm to 16.2mm. “The carbon fiber case surrounding the shock-resistant solar panel is flanked on the sides by an anodized buttons, with gilded decorative elements on the rear. Even with the additional solar panel, the entire assembly is claimed to offer IP67 resistance to water and dust. Caviar is selling the iPhone X Tesla with 64GB of storage for 284,000 rubles ($4,555), while the 256GB model costs 299,000 ($4,805) excluding taxes and customs duties,” reports Apple Insider.
