Crash Highest Mileage Ferrari F40

A service technician from the UK has crashed the purported world’s highest mileage Ferrari F40 when going for a test drive in the rain. In these conditions, its powerful engine and rear-wheel drive make it prone to oversteer, particularly at high speeds or when handling isn’t precise.

The incident took place on the A5 near Markyate at around 12:50 pm on January 16, and the F40’s twin-turbocharged V8 engine making 471 hp and 426 lb-ft of torque most certainly played a big part. Another possible reason for the crash could be the fact that the F40 is known for having noticeable turbo lag, meaning there’s a delay between when you press the accelerator and when the turbos spool up and deliver full boost, making it tough to manage in low-speed situations or when accelerating quickly from a standstill.
