It’s no Kawasaki K-Racer X2, but the DJI Avata 2, the company’s latest FPS drone, has allegedly leaked ahead of its official reveal. Upgrades include a 1/1.3-inch CMOS sensor that can shoot 48MP still photos as well as 4K videos, along with RockSteady 3.0+, HorizonSteady, and HorizonBalancing technologies to keep that footage stable.
The DJI Avata 2 bundle would also include a pair of all-new Goggles 3, which appear to feature front-facing cameras that give the pilot a clear view of their immediate surroundings, while also enhancing safety. DJI’s Motion 3 controller looks slightly different as well, with the joystick now located on the left side and a centralized mode button. Avata 2 is expected to launch some time later this month.
