Artist duo Studio DRIFT used drones equipped with special software to create life-sized renders of what the Sagrada Familia in Barcelona, Spain and other famous structures would look like when finished. The believe that finishing them with light emphasizes the potential positive power of our current high-tech developments in relation to the slow, yet beautiful, building methods of the past.
Drone Stories and Nova Skystories teamed up with DRIFT to develop the innovative software capable of creating aerial sculptures, installations, and performances, thus making these structures possible. A museum or gallery is too confined to do these magnificent structures justice, especially if it’s just a scale model or sculpture. Now if only Vivo would release this smartphone with a drone camera.
