Jet-Powered Batmobile Batman
With “The Batman” setting a new weekend box office record for 2022 with a $128.5-million USD opening, it’s no surprise that some are looking to either build or acquire their own Batmobile. Over the past few years, one of these custom-built vehicles has really stood out, and it’s engineer Casey Putsch’s jet-powered Batmobile. Simply put, he started with a shell before finding a stretched C4-generation Corvette to use as the frame.

Next, a 400-horsepower turboshaft engine that can spin up to 20,000-rpm, originally from a drone anti-submarine helicopter, was installed, mated to a torque converter four-speed automatic transmission that sends power to the rear wheels via a custom driveshaft. There may be other jet-powered Batmobiles out there, but this one has been legally registered for driving on the road, complete with an air suspension for those pesky speed bumps.
