Drone SoFi Stadium Superbowl LVI FAA
Happen to be in Los Angeles and thinking about flying a drone over SoFi Stadium during Super Bowl LVI today? Think again. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is working with law enforcement to ensure the game-day Temporary Flight Restrictions (TFR) are enforced starting at approximately 2:30 p.m. PST. It covers a ring of 30 nautical miles that is centered over the stadium and from the ground up to 18,000 feet in altitude.

The Temporary Flight Restrictions (TFR) expires at 8:30 p.m. PST, but may be extended if conditions warrant. For those who want to push their luck, the FAA has explicitly stated that pilots and drone operators who enter the TFRs without permission could face civil penalties that exceed $30,000 as well as face potential criminal prosecution.
