When it comes to health, being safe is always of the utmost importance, and when outside, wearing over-ear headphones with a mask isn’t the easiest of tasks. Meet the Dyson Zone. It’s officially the company’s first wearable air purifier that builds upon their 30-years of expertise in airflow, filtration, motor technologies and deep understanding of indoor / outdoor air quality. There are compressors in each earcup that draw air through the dual-layer filters and project two streams of purified air to the wearer’s nose as well as mouth, channeled through the non-contact visor.
The visor comes equipped with sculpted returns to ensure the purified airflow is kept near the nose and mouth, uninterrupted as possible by external crosswinds. Not just a wearable air purifier, the Zone also delivers rich, immersive audio, all the while blocking unwanted city noise thanks to advanced active noise cancelling (ANC), low distortion and a neutral frequency response. It’s expected to go on sale this Fall, priced between $600 – $1200 USD.
- Pure Dyson audio with advanced noise cancellation.
- Intelligent signal processing combined with active noise cancellation – ensuring realistic, detailed audio.
- Eight active noise-cancelling microphones monitor surrounding noise, with two additional microphones for telephony and transparency systems.

Air pollution is a global problem – it affects us everywhere we go. In our homes, at school, at work and as we travel, whether on foot, on a bike or by public or private transport. The Dyson Zone™ purifies the air you breathe on the move. And unlike face masks, it delivers a plume of fresh air without touching your face, using high-performance filters and two miniaturized air pumps. After six years in development, we’re excited to deliver pure air and pure audio, anywhere,” said Jake Dyson, Chief Engineer.
