H. Moser & Cie’s Endeavour Tourbillon Concept Vantablack watch is unlike any that you’ve probably seen, as its dial is covered in Vantablack, the world’s darkest material, capable of absorbing up to 99.965% of visible light. More specifically, this coating is Vantablack S-VIS, the same one used by NASA on its instruments for space missions to protect them from sunlight. Read more for additional pictures and a video of its previous Vantablack watch.
The dial appears to be a black hole, thanks to a forest of vertical tubes “grown” on a substrate using a modified chemical vapor deposition process. Other features include HMC 804 caliber movement and a 42mm, 18-karat white gold case fitted with a hand-stitched black alligator leather strap with matching clasp. Just two caveats: it’s limited to 50-pieces worldwide and priced at $75,000 USD.
