Erase-O-Matic Mechanical Pencil 30,000RPM Eraser
The Apple Pencil is cool and practical, while the Erase-O-Matic is more of a fun project to see just how far you can push a mechanical pencil. Engineer Franklinstein realized that the tiny eraser on the top of mechanical pencils just were not getting the job done, so he fitted one with a quadcopter-sourced electric motor and a lithium-ion battery.

A button switch and the hardware for that was then added into the pencil. What you get is an automated graphite-erasing machine that would be perfect for those pesky Scantron tests where you have to fill out dozens of those multiple choice bubbles. One caveat: a rotational speed of 30,000 rpm means that the tips wear out in just a few seconds, so you’ll need a big supply to get through a long test.
