F1 Tires Normal Reglar Car
Installing F1 tires on a normal car sounds like a great idea for the track, but on everyday roads, not so much. Why are these so good on a track? Well, it comes down to the much softer rubber compound and wider surface areas of the tires that provide maximum traction for acceleration, braking as well as cornering due to the better grip.

Driven Media decided to test this by putting F1 tires on a toyota MR2 Spyder and see how it would perform at the track. The biggest issue wasn’t even driving around on them, as just the process of installing them required custom machined hubs and modifying the bodywork to ensure the fenders could actually fit the large tires. In the end, they had to cut large chunks off the fender well to fit the F1 tires properly. There are two reasons why they wouldn’t make good road tires, with the first being that they cost around $2700 USD pet set and the second is each one only lasts for around 74-miles before needing to be replaced.
