Limited to just 5-units worldwide, the Ferrari 296 GTB Assetto Fiorano pays homage to Michael Schumacher’s 2004 Hugarian GP win in the F2004 car. Power comes from a twin-turbocharged 2.9L V6, pared with an electric motor, that generate a combined 819 hp and 546 lb-ft of torque, mated to an 8-speed dual-clutch transmission.

What sets this special edition apart from the standard model are its special GT racing-derived Multimatic shock absorbers and a circuit-optimized carbon-fibre high-downforce front spoiler, Ferrari-badged four-point safety harnesses on the driver / passenger seat, as well as the Hungarian flag stitched on both headrests. Pricing has not yet been revealed, but all five units have been accounted for by customers in Hungary.

A potent reminder of Ferrari’s dominance of grand prix racing during the early years of this millennium, the 296 GTB Assetto Fiorano paying tribute to the F2004 is also a forward-looking supercar capturing not only the essence of Ferrari’s sporting heritage, but the absolute cutting-edge of science and technology, creating a soulful berlinetta that straddles time,” said Ferrari.
