A SpaceX Falcon Heavy rocket successfully launched the military’s secretive Boeing X-37B into space on a classified mission. Mission 7, also designated as USSF-52, will cover a wide range of test and experimentation objectives.
These tests include operating the reusable X-37B in new orbital regimes, experimenting with future space domain awareness technologies, and investigating the radiation effects on materials that NASA has provided. It also aims to expand the United States Space Force’s knowledge of the space environment by experimenting with future space domain awareness technologies.
